Nitinol Superelastic Bar have high mechanical strength, tensile capacity and yield result. They are used in heat exchangers. Nitinol Superelastic Bar are perfectly fabricated to the necessary diameter. They are produced as per ASTM specifications. We also develop good quality Nitinol Superelastic Bar and Nitinol Shape Memory Bar with good elongation capacity. These Nitinol products do not get reduced or oxidized due to the effect of harsh external agents. Even acidic and alkaline conditions do not erode it. These Nitinol Superelastic Bar have great longevity and sturdiness.
Superelasticity refers to the ability of a material to change shape in response to a force. In this case, the metal is usually nitinol. During the process of creating a superelastic bar, several factors are taken into account. This type of material has a variety of uses, including aerospace, automotive, and implant applications.
When a force is applied to a Nitinol Superelastic bar, the metal begins to deform in a similar way to a spring. However, its elastic range is 10 to 30 times larger than a normal spring material. This behavior is only possible at temperatures around 273-313 K above the Af temperature. This temperature, called Md, is the upper limit for martensite formation and superelasticity.
Nitinol’s superelasticity and shape superelastic properties are achieved through a process of phase transformation within the metal’s crystal structure. The material’s crystal structure changes from an austenitic to a martensitic state when under stress. In addition, the material retains its shape after undergoing large deformations and then returns to its original state when the external load is removed. This unique property is a key characteristic of many Nitinol applications.
Superelastic Nitinol Alloy Bars are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. As an example, Superelastic NiTi Round Wire, Superelastic NiTi Threaded Bars, and Superelastic NiTi Square Bars are available. The NiTi Superelastic Bar is commonly used in medical and dental applications, such as stents and guidewires.
Nitinol superelastic wire has many uses and is a shape memory alloy. It can be folded into a looping ball, bent or rolled into a curved shape, and has a phase transition temperature of between fifteen and 100°C. It is especially useful for orthodontic uses, where the material is used to apply pressure to brackets. It is also used for surgical devices.
