Monel K500 is one of the best alloys for commercial use, composed of Nickel of 63 and Copper of 29 percent. It is precipitation hardenable by adding Aluminium and Titanium. It includes some other elements in less quantity to form an alloy such as Manganese, Sulphur, Carbon, Iron, Silicon and Tungsten. An alloy offers great resistance to corrosion. It shows non-magnetic property and enhanced yield and tensile strength by cold treatment before hardening. Hardness increases after the process of precipitation hardening. It is annealed while welding is performed and is stress relieved before aging. It offers annealing, aging and cold-drawn processes.
