Our Nimonic 75 and 80A Sheets and Bars is an alloy of Nickel, Chromium, and Aluminum that is precipitation hard enabled by adding aluminum and titanium. These Nimonic 75 and 80A sheets are used for gas turbine components, bolts, and tube supports in nuclear power stations.
Nimonic 75 is an 80/20 nickel and chromium alloy with a specified amount of Carbon and Titanium additions. It is used, for example, where high temperature scaling resistance and medium strength are crucial. This alloy was developed and first used in the Whittle jet engines.
The Nimonic 75 & Nimonic 80A Sheets have good corrosion and oxidation resistance, and high tensile and creep rupture properties at temperatures up to 815 ° C and are currently used primarily in sheet applications requiring scaling resistance at high temperatures. However, they are still used in steam turbine engineering and for industrial steam-processing, furnace components, and heat-treatment equipment. The Nimonic 80A has a maximum chemical analysis of Al up to 1.0 – 1.8, Cr up to 18.0 – 21.0, Ni 69.0, Ti 1.8 – 2.7. Co is around 2.0 while Fe is approximately 3.0.
These Nimonic 80A Sheets in USA are wrought, age-hard enable nickel and chromium alloy with added titanium, aluminum, and carbon, suitable for use at temperatures up to 815 Degree C. These Nimonic alloy 80A Sheets and Bars are melted at a high frequency and cast in the air for extrusion into forms, so that welds can be done in the annealed condition, without the need for post-weld treatment except when corrosion occurs. We follow all sophisticated methods of packaging on the sheets and bars so that they get delivered desired quality.
