Nominal Composition of Rene 41 wires:
These are the various elements consisting in the nominal composition of the Rene 41 wires. There are also other elements which are present in composition such as (Ni) Nickel, (Si) Silicon: 0.5 max, (C) Carbon: 0.12 max, (S) Sulfur: 0.1 max, (B) Boron: 0.003 – 0.01. These elements influence various beneficial properties of the Rene 41 round bars and wires.
Various properties of Rene 41 round bars:
Rene 41 round bars are a nickel-chromium alloy bars with a high corrosion resistance property that is why it is widely applicable in industry. Another helpful property of this material is that it is easily fabricated and machinable; thus, the desired shape can be adapted with minimum effort.
Rene 41 round bars are a precipitation hardening, a high-temperature alloy that exhibits high strength in 1200 to 1800°F temperature array.
This alloy Rene 41 round bars is designed especially for use in severely stressed high-temperature regions. It resists oxidation and rust at elevated temperatures too. It also offers better resistance to jet engine combustion gases up to 1800°F (982°C). Besides that, it also has good relaxation resistance up to 1500°F (that means 815°C) at low loads.
It is carbon-free alloy that has numerous features, including:
Uses:
Rene 41 products are used for numerous industrial applications, some of which include:
Aircraft engine components, Jet and rocket engines, Turbine blades and wheels, Torque rings, Nozzle partitions, Fasteners, Missile components, Pumps, and hot-wire foam cutters.
